Toyota Camry vs Honda Accord

You’ve seen them both shuttling around the Worcester, Auburn, and Shrewsbury streets, but is there a clear-cut favorite in the Toyota Camry vs. Honda Accord rivalry? Some of it depends on your own personal preference, but there are also objective measures that separate these sedans. At Harr Toyota, we’re here to highlight these differences so anyone seeking a new car knows exactly what they’re getting from each model.

The following pits features and specifications from the Camry and Accord against one another. If you finish the comparison and have a few lingering questions, contact our staff!

Toyota Camry MPG Estimates vs Honda Accord

Toyota Camry vs Honda Accord Worcester, MATypically, those seeking a mid-size sedan such as the 2021 Toyota Camry or the 2021 Honda Accord are going to be placing a premium on fuel economy. The good news is that both the Camry and the Accord can be fitted with hybrid motors. Which of these hybrids is more fuel friendly? That would be the Toyota.

If you have your Camry outfitted with the 2.5L 4-cylinder hybrid option, you can expect an EPA-estimated 51 city MPG/53 highway MPG.*

The Honda Accord is no slouch, but it just can’t keep up with the efficiency found in the 2021 Camry. For Honda, the hybrid motor will return as much as 48 city MPG/47 highway MPG according to EPA estimates.

Standard Interior Infotainment

For many, the standard trim level of the Honda Accord and the Toyota Camry are going to be the preferred choice. Each of these standard trims comes with a host of technologies and features to make your life easier. If you’re set on getting the most infotainment possible from the base trim though, the 2021 Toyota Camry easily surpasses the setup of the Honda Accord.

First, Toyota offers Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ standard. These integration systems link your smartphone with the vehicle. Once linked, you have the ability to access applications that exist on your phone directly on the touchscreen display of your sedan. The base touchscreens for both the Camry and Accord measure seven inches in size, but the Toyota Camry offers an available 9-inch touchscreen for greater visibility. The Honda Accord maxes out at just eight inches.

There’s also a gap between the standard audio systems in each sedan. If you enjoy listening to podcasts or playlists on your way to work, the 4-speaker sound system that comes standard in the Accord won’t sound as rich compared to the base 6-speaker setup found in the Camry!
